What do I eat for lunch and dinner?
4 oz of protein. 1 cup of vegetables.
If you know me well… then you know I eat A LOOOOOOOT of chicken and eggs. AT LEAST three pieces of chicken and 12 to 18 eggs most days. So… I basically live off the life cycle of a chicken! But I like to throw in salmon, top sirloin and shrimp to mix things up!
“Brianna - don’t you get sick and tired of eating the same things OVER and OVER and OVER again?!”
The answer to this question is not yes or no - the secret to my 107-pound weight-loss success is that I found a system that works for my lifestyle - one that I have been able to sustain LONG TERM (a little over five years, to be exact). Am I super excited to eat the same old chicken and eggs, day in and day out? That’s irrelevant. Because here’s what I know - I work 15 to 18-hour days. And I don’t want to spend the little free time I do have in the kitchen prepping gourmet meals and elaborate recipes. I would rather be shooting hoops, reading books, building LEGOS and playing Guess Who? with this little boy. With many days/weeks/months/years of consistency and practice, I have been able to separate my emotions from my food (no easy task). So it doesn’t matter if I “like” eating chicken and eggs every day or not. I do it because it’s simple. It works for me. And it makes me FEEL strong.
